Details: The Pentair Pentek CRFC20-BB is a 20-inch Big Blue carbon water filter cartridge designed for whole house chloramine and chlorine taste and odor reduction. It uses advanced granular activated carbon (GAC) media housed within a polyethylene outer shell with a spun polypropylene inner wrap and core to deliver consistent filtration performance at 25 micron nominal.
The CRFC20-BB provides chlorine reduction capacity of over 200,000 gallons at 4 GPM and chloramine reduction capacity of 25,000 gallons at 2.5 GPM or 10,000 gallons at 5 GPM. A spun polypropylene post-filter captures carbon fines before they reach your water supply, and Santoprene gaskets ensure a secure seal within the housing. Pressure drop is approximately 2.5 PSI at 5.0 GPM and less than 1 PSI at 2.5 GPM.
This cartridge measures 4.5' x 20' and fits all standard 20-inch Big Blue filter housings. It is suitable for use in residential whole house water treatment systems. Replace every year or when you notice a drop in water pressure or water quality. Operating temperature range is 40-100 degrees F.
